Why? Well, because of two things swirled together.
1) At the beginning of "American Splendor" some lady tries to give a young Harvey Pekar a caramel apple as a Halloween treat, and
2) My favorite line in "Girls" from Season 2, Episode 5--"One Man's Trash". Hannah tells Joshua of a quote she read about Fiona Apple in New York magazine and how she relates to it. Apple says, “Everyone acts like I’m nuts. I’m not nuts. I just wanna feel it all.”
