She Realized Her Future Could Only Be Found In Her Own Two Hands

She realized her future couldn't be found in the stars or a crystal ball or in tarot cards, but rather in the palms of her own two hands.

As I said to a friend, oftentimes no one knows what lies with us.  Sometimes even we don't know...until we do.

(By the way, I fixed that double "or." (-;)

Day 135. Sliding Through Memories

Walking outside today, I see kids playing in the park.  Giggles ricochet through the air with kiddos on slides, on monkey bars, on the swings.

Do you remember being scared to slide down those really tall slides, and yet euphoric when you did?  I especially loved those teeter-totters (seesaw) and those crazy animals on a big spring that you rocked back and forth on--did you ride those, too?

Sometimes I still walk down to a park near our house at 10 p.m. at night and swing on a swing.  Quiet, the park all to myself, I push myself high into the starry sky.
