Day 29 Auction House Evaluator

I worked on this one on Saturday morning and finished it up this evening.  It is a far cry from where it began which was a crazy squiggle of a vase and glasses in ink.  It ended up being an oil painting.  You just never know what's going to emerge from the page and your paintbrush.

Here's how it began.

Day 20 Little by little birds build their nest

I'm feeling a little discouraged today.  Sometimes you see the enormity of something before you (or the futility) and it's hard to keep going on, no?

I try to pull myself out of that feeling and remember my favorite French saying of all time:

Petit à petit, l'oiseau fait son nid.
(Little by little birds build their nest.)
(or...Every little bit helps.)

Hope this creation helps any of you out, my readers.

Day 19 Early Morning Flowers

Early Morning Flowers

Don't you think real moms look like this?  They're tired, exhausted even.  They have aged, but still feel feminine.  Especially when they're woken up early on Mother's Day and given a bouquet of flowers.  I imagine they think that it's all worth it.
