I gave this a little shaded filter on Instagram...I liked the murky look of it...moving out of darkness and going forward.  It's lighter in reality, which I think gives it a more graphic, Warholian look.

Necks Outstretched to Great Effect

Necks Outstretched to Great Effect

This baby hung around for quite some time, maybe a month or so.  I wasn't sure where I was headed with it until it told me.  I guess it was shy at first to make its appearance, but I'm quite in love with it now that it has fully revealed itself. (-;

Ballerina with Calculations

Goodbye accounting class.  I am now purely back to my obsession with art, and my soul feels better already.  It's quite clear that my only purpose on this earth is to create.

Equestrian Love

I originally gave this painting the generic name of, "The Lady and Her Horse," but I now can't take it (ugh!)!  I'm changing it to "Equestrian Love."  Ah, I feel so much better now.

Red Dot

Hmm.  Still using my phone to take pictures, putting into Instagram and posting to Facebook and then snipping onto my hard drive and then reposting to my blog.  Gotta get that camera working correctly!  I humbly say, I think my art work isn't showing off to the best of its ability with my roundabout posting approach.  I'll get back to it.  Although, I do notice I have a lot less hits from a certain area in the world now that my images aren't as sharp as the camera would present... hmm.

Anyway, this portrait actually has a much more vibrant, apple green in it than this picture would suggest, and I think a lot more detail.  Nevertheless, here is "Red Dot" as I can best represent her at the moment.

Doodling in Class

Here's a doodle I drew in class tonight.  I'm tired, yet again!  Woke up at 4 a.m. with a stomachache and finally gave in and got up at 5:30 a.m.  Painted 3 hours on a painting (to be revealed soon--this one has taken me tens of hours) and then got ready for work, which tonight happened to end at 6 p.m.  Then I went to class from 6-9 p.m.  I don't know.  This chiquita is running low on energy.  Thank goodness I had a jar of Justin's Nut Butter, Honey Peanut Butter Blend, because that's what I subsisted on all day and evening...plus an Almond Joy.  I really don't like rushing through life like this...it is not joyous.

Art answers are from yours truly. (-;

Brooklyn Art Library- The Pen Pal Painting Exchange

Hello peeps.  Do you remember my painting from Day 235, "Be Proud of What You've Got"?  (Here's the link to the story:  http://livedrawpaint.blogspot.com/2013/08/day-235-be-proud-of-what-youve-got.html.)  It's about our heroine not having the prettiest face, but she has lots of attitude when it came to posing nude as an artist's model.

Here is the painting:

I did that painting for an exhibition at the Brooklyn Art Library.  It was a Pen Pal Painting Exchange.  After the exhibit in Brooklyn, which you can see here at the Flickr link:  www.flickr.com/arthousecoop, we received our painting pal's canvas in the mail.  Here is mine, which I received today, by Hannah Cook from New York.  You can find her other artwork on tumblr@hannahdoesart and instagram@hccook92.  It's called, "When Did You Decide to Be Straight?"
