Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!  This month as FLOWN by, and now we've landed on the great feasting day of the year.  Not to overdo the aviary references, here's a giant doodle of a quite charming fowl.  I actually drew him last year, but never posted him.  I added an acrylic background to the colored pencil and ink, because always important to accessorize a turkey. (-;

Although is was snowing last week, on Thanksgiving it was 60 degrees and a little rainy.  After our wonderful meal, I managed to get these shots, intensified by that rain, from my cousin's garden.

 It's nice to have a little springtime in the fall.

Thanksgiving Starlings

As we drove 1 1/2 hours to our family's Thanksgiving dinner, nature gave us the most beautiful sight: the rolling, beautifully complex flight of starlings against a gray sky.

I am thankful to you, dear starlings, for the loveliness you bring to stark fall skies.
