Day 101. Truffle Lust (SOLD)

Well, my husband and I just got back from a whirlwind trip to "Art Is You" down in Nashville, TN. We left on Wednesday and got there around 10 p.m.  Thursday I had two seminars, one all-day workshop with Sunny Carvalho, and an evening event with Sue Pelletier. Today, Friday, we headed back and got home around 9:30 p.m.  Crazy!

Sunny Carvalho is the sweetest person.  She is just so incredibly talented, generous, and a powerhouse of production.  She freely instructed us on her techniques and continually asked if we had questions and was sooo patient.  All the women in the class were a riot, and I'm so glad I got to spend time with them.  (I was supposed to meet them in the bar later, but I went back to my room, laid down for just a few minutes around 4:45 p.m., and fell asleep until 6:40 p.m.  Listen, all that laughter can exhaust a person! (-;

Anyway, below is the painting I made along with a few pictures.  I will post more on Facebook by tomorrow.

I looked down at my painting when I was done, and I said, "It doesn't look anything like yours--it looks like what I usually do!"  She said, "That's because you've already found your own style; some people never do."  See?  I TOLD you she was incredibly sweet.  Sunny is on the brink of world domination.  You heard it here first. (-:  (Ha!  I doubt, that--I think most people aware of her art know it.)  Check out her website at:  http://sunnycarvalho.blogspot.com/

I'll have more on Sue Pelletier's workshop tomorrow.

  1. Thank you so much for the sweet post!! I had the best time teaching that class, getting to know you all and seeing the amazing work at the end! I felt so excited for you, realizing that you had your very own style already and I hope you continue to pursue it and have a wonderful art-filled life!! I hope we meet up again soon! Xoxo
