Seymour Wanted to Be A Cowboy

Seymour had wanted to be a cowboy even before he had heard of Kid Rock. But he loved the Blues, too. After torturing himself on picking a life path, he put on his 10-gallon hat & decided to be both. He changed his name to Tex, wrangled cattle on horseback, and played the blues circuit like his idol, Albert King, at night. Let's just say he was very lucky with the ladies (oh, and in fulfilling his life, too.)

By the way, I cut out the word "Blues" and the little stars under the handkerchief from strips that were used to wrap up a Hatch Show Print poster that I bought from that famous Letterpress printer a couple of years ago.  Here's a link to their website and if you're in Nashville, make sure you go visit them!

Equestrian Love

I originally gave this painting the generic name of, "The Lady and Her Horse," but I now can't take it (ugh!)!  I'm changing it to "Equestrian Love."  Ah, I feel so much better now.

Ghost Horse - SOLD

This idea came from the following:

I was watching an interview between Johnny Depp and David Letterman last night on YouTube. Depp was talking about filming 2013's "The Lone Ranger" and how as he was falling from his horse, "all I saw in front of my eyes were these muscular horse legs,the striations of muscles moving, a kind of death machine.  And one word popped into my head, 'hooves'."

This particular clip also had the added bonus of allowing you to practice your Italian.  Ciao!

So often I don't think I get the detail photographed well.

Day 341 & 342. Don't Look A Gift Horse In The Mouth (SOLD)

Happy December, everyone!

It's hard to believe that I am entering the last month of this project. Way back in the beginning, I started on Christmas Day which would land me on Christmas Eve Day this year to cross the finish line.  But what is this?  As I plotted out my final miles of this marathon on my calendar, Day 341 today would lead me to finish Day 365 on Christmas again.  This projection couldn't possibly be right!  What the heck happened?  And so I went through my blog posts, back, back back, and FINALLY found that I had done TWO of Day 68!  I've been mislabeling my paintings/drawings since that number!

¡Ay, caramba!

Well, it's definitely a better position to be in than having accidentally skipped a day!

I thought, well, I could just proceed and do 366 Days, as if last year were a Leap Year.  But people, I am tired!!  Plus, you know how the saying goes:  "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." (-;  And I'm not going to.  I did the work, I'm going to claim it. (-:

Alright, full speed ahead. Let's get this adventure done!
