I toyed with the idea of drawing this man's left eye to perfectly match the right, but I liked the way it looked as if he were ominously moving forward--one eye closer to the viewer than the distant left. I felt like he was coming our of a city tunnel or a hospital or a psych ward. I sketched this quickly on a large shard of paper--all ink and dried out ink brush.

Tiny Mouth, Offcenter SOLD
Here was on of the pieces that I sold last night, but scrolling through my artwork to place a "SOLD" beside the post, I realized that I never posted it to my blog! I created it back in June or July. Here she is, and now she is off to a new home.

Inktober Day 29 Surprise
I have to admit, I pondered upon this for awhile. I figured there would be a lot of people doing a surprise party or a birthday gift, I mean, that was my immediate thought. All along I have wanted to interpret these words in my own way. Here's when a surprise might not always be a pleasant one.

Inktober Day 27 Creepy
Ah, this is a personal favorite. I wasn't quite sure how to convey the word creepy without evoking some haunted house scene. I think I might have got it...

Inktober Day 19 FLIGHT
Went to see the phenomenal Chris Robinson sing tonight (from Black Crowes and now Chris Robinson Brotherhood), and I'm so committed to getting these days out, that I took my sketchbook into the concert and drew this before the show started and during an intermission! Super drawing geek! But I did rock out otherwise!

Inktober Day 17 BATTLE
A little inner battle...and a little nod to one of my all-time idols, Keith Richards. You tell it, Keef!
